1. Was/Is there a module that uses 1e AD&D Fiend Folio themes and monsters almost exclusively?
2. How have you converted AD&D monster stats to B/X stats?

To answer your first question:
ReplyDeleteYes, it was called The Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun. Though it doesn't use that many monsters from the Fiend Folio as one might often thing.
As for your second question:
I usually just wing it.
In "The World Between for Fictive Hack" the sample adventure generation example has some quick random tables for stuff to happen during a party at a big noble house. It's on page 206 or so.
ReplyDeleteParties are where nobility work out their business and social lives, so they are GREAT places for scenarios. Also good for encouraging play and conflict and downplaying murdering those who annoy or disagree with you. =)
